Making Memories So yesterday I took my daughter on an adventure to places I played as a child, we packed our wellies in the car and headed to my old stomping ground.

I was shocked how over grown everywhere was, nobody is playing out anymore?

Well we found a magical place that cost us £0 to play at, we had so much fun and we

Maggie pretended we found a frog. We'll back in the day me and my sister we're pretty good at catching frogs but i was a little out of practice ha ha. She splashed, got wet, dropped pebbles into the water and played like I did as a kid.  She laughed and smiled, She went to bed talking about that little frog…

So while she was sleeping I created her an image, that showed her little friend and she could look back on and smile.

There’s magic on your doorstep go find it, Play! go on an adventure and make some lovely memories for

Your little people. The simple things are often the best... :)

Bluebell Time So it’s been forever since I made the time to sit down and write a blog. Why? Because life gets in the way. Life, work and fitting photography around bring up my amazing little girl Maggie. It’s hard to sometimes make the time to show off my work other than a quick upload to Facebook. So here is me showing off my work and telling you why the time is right. I do all sorts of photography; trained in Newborn Photography, love doing composites for children from fairies to make believe images that are more personal for the parents. The thing is, I can see the end result of an image before I have even taken it but it is sometimes hard to show mum or dad where I am going. However, I am really pleased to say that they always love the final image when they see.

You may be wondering why I am writing a blog now and where I am going with this? Well, I want to share with you the colours and beautiful backgrounds that we have around the Rugby area. There are always stunning backgrounds to use at this time of the year.  The last weekend I have been photographing at a local Rugby Bluebell Wood and wanted to share. Unfortunately, I am unable to share some of my clients work at present due to privacy reasons, so I am sharing the images below of my daughter. This is Maggie, and after everyone’s session at the weekend, I managed to capture a few of her, just enjoying being a 4 year old. No, she didn’t pose for me, but this is her personality, playing and twirling and enjoying herself. I can look back in years to come and remember her doing the spins and running around the woods.

If you have ever thought “Oh I need to get some up to date photos of my children” but hate being inside, then this is the time to get some. Due to the high demand of last weekends photo-shoot, I have managed to make three further spaces available one on Friday afternoon and two on Saturday. It’s not too late, but next week will be, as the Bluebells will be gone for another year.

My sessions are 30 minutes long as usually, the first 10 minutes is when the magic happens. Cost is £50, which includes a 7x5 print of your choice. Your gallery will be online within 2 weeks and if you wish you are able to pick more.

The woodlands I go to are glorious and covered with the colour of blue till the eye can see. Please feel free to contact me or give me a call on 07783 535473.

My journey into timeless Child Portraiture The other week myself and a another local photographer and very good friend Lisa from Lisa Scott Photography invested in some priceless training with a well known Newborn and Child photographer and trainer Gary Hill...

He drove over to us and spent a whole day, training us in the art of light, getting the most out of or subject and getting that timeless feel to our images that will look beautiful hung on the wall for generations to come, making people go WOW...

I loved every minute of it and went away buzzing to embrace everything i'd learned also taking it further and sculpting my own style and feel to future images...

So here are some of my images i took on our training day, thanks to Gary for being so brill... :)
