Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions
"Photography by SarahJane" means Photography of Newborns, children and families, portraits and special events.
"The Client" means any person, body of persons, firm or Company with whom Photography by SarahJane enters into a contract for the sale of goods or provision of services by Photography by SarahJane, and therefore gives permission for the taking and storing of digital images of those present.
2. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
All contracts and transactions between Photography by SarahJane and the Client whether made orally or in writing are subject to these terms and conditions which shall be deemed to be incorporated into any contract between Photography by SarahJane and all or any of its Clients.
3. Cancellation Fees / Overruns
If a booking is cancelled by the Client within 24 hours of the appointment, Photography by SaraJane reserves the right to charge the full fee for the session. If a booking is cancelled within seven working days of the appointment Photography by SarahJane reserves the right to charge 50% of the fee. If payment has been made you have forfeited the right to rebook. (In some circumstances with regards to illness/sickness please contact for more information) Cake Smash sessions also apply to this, a non refundable cake deposit is due on booking. If booking has not been cancelled within 48 hours you will forfeit the whole amount (due to cake preparations)
4. Vouchers
Vouchers can be booked and given as presents on condition that payment is due in advance. In cases of special offers vouchers need to be paid for before the expired date. All vouchers have to be booked within 3 from date of purchase, if it is not redeemed you shall forfeit the value of the voucher. Any prints or products included in a voucher need to be ordered within 30 days of album going live. If prints have not been ordered by this date you forfeit the prints or products.
5. Payment Terms
A deposit is required on acceptance of a time and date of booking, to reserve the date and time slot for a session. Photography by SarahJane will not save any dates or appointments until a deposit is received. Full payment is then due on the day of the session. If payment is not received at the session photos will not be released until all payment has been made.
6. Copyright and Ownership
In accordance with the Copyright, Designs & Patents Act 1988, the copyright of all images created by Photography by SarahJane is owned by Photography by SaraJane. Unless Photography by SarahJane gives written authorisation (with disk of images), the Client is forbidden by law to copy any images created by Photography by SarahJane and agrees that all photographic reprints, digital duplications or copies of any type made from images created by Photography by SarahJane shall only be carried out by Photography by SarahJane.
7. Privacy
Photography by SarahJane acknowledges that in the performances of the services the client may not wish for any images to be shown or shared on social networking sites, if so this is to be stated during the appointment. Photos will/can be used for advertising on Photography by SarahJane web site and advertising materials unless otherwise stated.
8. Damage to Equipment
Any damage to provided equipment or premises is to be repaired at the clients expense, and the client will also be responsible for any loss of earnings whilst repairs are undertaken.
9. Booking fee and Payment
The client shall make a booking fee (Deposit) to Photography by SarahJane to book and save the date or event. This booking fee is non-refundable.
10. Viewing Images
Within 4 weeks from your appointment date your images will be released on private web site. Images posted to social networking sites and photo sharing sites will have a Photography by SarahJane watermarked logo on all images.
11. Illness/sickness
In the event that Photography by SarahJane is sick or ill on the day of an appointment, an alternative mutually acceptable appointment date will be offered at no extra charge.
12. Prices & Terms
The Photographer reserves the right to amend both Prices and these Terms and Conditions without prior notice
13. Purchasing of products
When you purchase any digital files on a USB stick or CD you are purchasing the rights of the digital files and not the USB stick or DVD. Digital files can be copied therefore no refunds will be given on any digital files.
14. Raw Files
Raw files are never given out. only Jpeg files are released to the client.
15. Discounts
Please note Photography by SarahJane does not offer discounts. All prices are available upon request, it is the clients responsibility to ensure they have a copy of the latest price list when booking or ordering products.
